When you think of a room, what comes to mind? Is it your childhood bed-room? Your granny's living room? Do you think about the French Cafe James Baldwin wrote his first book in?
'Somewhere, Anywhere' is an immersive art installation that explores where a room can transport you based on its contents. Designed to be modular, the installation can take on the identity of "somewhere" while being "anywhere" in the world, simply through set design and storytelling.

Inspired by direction, SWAW branding leans into leveraging the compass motif. Moreover, to highlight the idea of rooms, we also tapped into this motif by utilizing “box” motifs throughout the flyer design.
Always somewhere, Always everywhere
After completing the branding, I wanted to market the event by showing myself as I built the space. The result is me appearing both somewhere and everywhere in the video.
The videos on the right show a two-part series of me putting together the room, leaning into this motif.
